What to Expect

I focus on cultivating an easy-going space where you can feel comfortable and supported to discuss what has brought you into my office. Some individuals may feel at ease discussing presenting problems right away. However, other individuals may not feel ready and might need time to build comfort and rapport with their therapist.

Each client is unique and therefore their needs are addressed in a personalized manner. We will work collaboratively to put a treatment plan in place that addresses your presenting problems in a customized way.

How It Works

Your first appointment will be an intake appointment where we will discuss how counselling works, and you will complete a questionnaire. This helps us to uncover why you’re here, and your goals with therapy.

Some clients have specific goals that they would like help to achieve. Others, may just want a safe, non-judgemental space to unravel their thoughts and feelings. There is no wrong or right way to do therapy. Clients typically start with weekly or biweekly sessions, and eventually move to a maintenance phase.

Depending on your preferences, I often provide my clients with materials and resources that they can utilize in between sessions to further support the work we are doing.
